Keeping products and materials in use is one of the three principles of the Circular Economy. Following this principle, RRR's first edition took place in the HFK Bremen Hoschultage 2025. Its idea is simple: a place where people would have the opportunity to repair pieces of their own, by themselves, with the help of master's students and the infrastructure of the University. During this activity, the participants would be encouraged to share stories about the garment dear to them and explain their inner motives to repair the piece. In order to further build awareness about how time and labour consuming to design, sketch, cut and sew a unique piece of garment can be, a small exhibition showcasing all the steps involved in the process of making a dress was exhibited.
Visual Identity
For the first iteration of the event, I wanted it to follow the theme of the Hoschultage 2025 of the HFK Bremen: point of view (POV). My idea was to show the room where the fashion and textile students would spend most of their days through differents POVs.
I 3D-scanned the Modewerstatt using a mobile app and used the 3D model of the room as my main visual asset. The complexity and size of the room resulted in distorted and warped images, visually translating the often overwhelming feeling of entering a workshop space for the very first time.
The Hoschultage is an event with an overwelming amount of activities, so the name of the workshop should be self-explanatory. In order to do that, I chose the three words that could best describe our goals during the two days workshop: repair, remake and reuse.
